plymouth_20th_century_city_logo_376x376DID YOU KNOW? Plymouth has more post-war listed buildings than anywhere in the UK outside London! Find out what makes Plymouth Special!!!

The Architecture Centre Devon and Cornwall have been successful in a recent Heritage Lottery Fund bid (HLF) for a project based on the unique architecture and built environment of Plymouth. The Plymouth:  20th Century City project aims to encourage people to look again at the important 20th Century architectural merits and built environment primarily around the centre of Plymouth.  As part of this project we are asked all ages and abilities to get out and about and enter ‘Plymouth: Your 20th Century City' photography competition.  We are building up our archive of images and are working with the Museum and Records Office to make resources available online.

There will be a variety of ways to explore the city centre including an interactive map, an mpeg audio file guided tour a family activity map and activities throughout the year.

If you are interested in the project, would like to be kept informed or would like to volunteer please get in touch.  info@acdandc.org.uk.
