Robinsons Shaft World Heritage Key Site

Project Description

Robinson's Shaft, Pool, Cornwall is a gateway site within the newly inscribed Cornwall and West Devon mining World Heritage Site, http://www.theheartlandsproject.org.uk. Architect-led design teams were sought for an associated new build development, conversion and restoration of a Cornish tin mine (not in use) which includes a number of Grade II* listed buildings and significant industrial archaeology. 

Under a very tight programme to meet funding application targets the Architecture Centre was asked to review the project brief, advise on procurement strategy produce the tender documentation and advertise the OJEU notice, chair the shortlisting and competitive interviews.
