 A block of council bedsits in Looe is to be transformed into larger one-bedroom flats thanks to an £80,000 contribution from a groundbreaking housing maintenance contract between Caradon District Council and CLC Contractors Ltd.
A credit union, village halls and a parent and toddler group are just a few of the projects benefiting from grants being made as a parting gift from Caradon District Council to the communities it serves.
An alcohol control zone comes into force in Saltash on Monday 15 December, giving the police extra powers to deal with people drinking in the town centre.
